Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro launched in India for Rs 36,900; sports Snapdragon 635 SoC with 6GB RAM


Samsung India on Tuesday announced the launch of its new smartphone – the Galaxy C9 Pro – in Bhubaneshwar. Bollywood actress Prachi Desai did the honours for the company. Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro will be available in two colours, black and gold. The device will be available across all retail channels in the latter half of February 2017 at a price of Rs 36,900.

The customer can pre-book the device through select stores and online platforms from 27 January. The company is offering one-time screen replacement for a period of 12 months on pre-booking.

The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro comes with a 6-inch HD AMOLED display and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 SoC which has an octa-core processor with a quad-core cluster clocked at 1.95GHz and the other quad-core cluster clocked at 1.4GHz. The phone comes with a 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage space which is expandable to 256GB. This is the first Samsung phone to come with 6GB RAM.c9-Pro

It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It houses a 16MP rear as well as front camera with an f/1.9 aperture. On the rear it has a dual LED flash unit. There is a 4000mAh battery which supports fast charging.

In terms of connectivity you get a dual SIM card slot, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.3, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS, Glonass, NFC, USB Type C port and more.
